It's panto time!
Well it's not, but it is time to start getting more than my thoughts together and to put pen to paper.....or rather bang out a few words on the ipad.
This year it's Treasure Island that I will attempt to butcher. Not a traditional panto so I shall need to make a few modifications to it.
Jim Hawkins will need a mum......thus the Dame
Squire Trelawney will need a daughter and thus principle girl.
I need a comedy character and so able seaman 'Odges will be making an appearance, friend to Jim Hawkins and spouter of building regulations.
It was nice to get a few of the players together yesterday for a quiet couple of hours to paint the garage and make it look nicer.......clear a few of the cobwebs away...especially since quite a few of us get changed and do our thing out there....an extension to the green room....which isn't exactly green. Maybe next job will be to give it a coat of paint and freshen it up.
Afterwards we had a BBQ and it was nice to relax in the sun.
....now where was that idea........Long John Silver and his pirates are in the Dukes Head tavern planning to hunt down Billy Bones who is hiding out at the Admirable Cock Inn........
